Mediation workshops

Brasil Sunshine offers cultural mediation workshops to complement shows or function independently. These workshops allow children to actively discover Brazilian culture: rhythms, instruments, songs, history and traditions.

Designed for schools, libraries, cultural centres and associations, these workshops are adapted to the participants' age and the educational goals of the supervisors.

What we offer

  • 1

    Introduction to Brazilian rhythms

Body percussion, palmas, rhythmic chants. Children experience rhythms with their bodies.

  • 2

    Cultural discovery of Brazil

Geography, fauna, flora, tales and traditions. An imaginative and educational journey.

  • 3

    Pre or post-show workshop

Preparation or extension of a Brasil Sunshine show to enrich the experience.

"Ecology in Song" project

In collaboration with the libraries of the Cotes Landes Nature community of communes, Brasil Sunshine invited pupils in Years 3, 4 and 5 to participate in creating songs on the theme of forests and waterways. This project brought together 9 classes, allowing each group to explore and highlight the natural treasures of their environment.

Each song was composed using a typical Brazilian rhythm, bringing a unique and dynamic touch to the children's musical creations.
